Our Color-Dec DOMES polyurethane resin is a two components, 100% reactive, room temperature curing product. It does not contain solvents or any other volatile materials. It produces a clear, protective and attractive coating. The thickness is usually in the range of 1,5 – 2 mm and it produces a three dimensional lensing effect, mostly thick and glossy but matt or thin finishes are also possible.
  The DOMES resin has a very good resistance to weathering and ultraviolet light and thus performs extremely well in outdoor applications. The outdoor resin was developed specifically to satisfy the auto industry's specifications. The outdoor use resin is guaranteed against yellowing when exposed to sunlight for a period of five years, provided that the resin is utilized within six months from the date of manufacturing and that our stock conditions are respected. Some of our resins are intended for indoor applications only. This is primarily because they have poor resistance to ultraviolet light and weathering.
  Documents issued by an external laboratory showing tests and results in this field are available on our customers’ request. Since the resin is only one part of the complex package it is not possible to get automotive approval for the resin "per se". It is necessary for the label manufacturer to submit and get approval on his stock with his inks. The resin has passed all the major automotive companies' testing.
